We are proud to announce that Baltic Horizon Fund has received a 4-star rating from the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB). In the 2021 assessment, Baltic Horizon achieved a 2-star rating. The 2022 result confirms our continuous efforts in the ESG field.
“Over the past years we have updated our internal processes but as well successfully executed our asset upgrade programs. During 2021, we exerted a particular focus on environmental topics because we strongly believe that focusing on sustainability and energy efficiency will result in increased long-term asset value for our investors and stakeholders,” comments Tarmo Karotam, Fund Manager of Baltic Horizon Fund.
Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark is widely recognized as the standard for measuring sustainability performance. In the 2022 assessment, the Fund achieves a total score of 83 of out 100, representing the third highest GRESB score in the ‘Europe | Diversified – Office/Retail | Listed’ peer group.
In addition, for the first time Baltic Horizon Fund earns an A-rating in the 2022 GRESB Public Disclosure Report. The Public Disclosure Report evaluates the ESG public disclosure level, and the A-rating is higher than the comparison group average grade of “B” and the global average of “B”.
“Baltic Horizon Fund has participated in the GRESB benchmark since 2020 and we have improved the score every year. This year, we have crossed the threshold to 4-star level. The result goes beyond our goal to achieve a 3-star rating this year or next year, so naturally we are very pleased, but our efforts do not stop here. We have set an ambitious long-term ESG plan as disclosed in our ESG report and we continue our efforts to achieve it,” adds Vasarė Krikštopaitytė, ESG & Compliance Officer at Northern Horizon.
